I have the same problem as everyone on these postings. However here I learned that I can save the caller ID and assigned it a "no-ring tone" to that caller ID. Going back through my history I found about 7 different numbers consisting of these types of companies. Now they are all set to "no-ring-tone", so hopefully this will help things out. Thanks everyone for your advise.

I am also getting calls from these fools. It all started with them adding .29 to my payment. I thought that it was a typo so I just paid my regular payment of $57.00 instead of $57.29, well they charged me a late fee of $35.00. I call and complained about that and they stated that they could only reduce the late fee to $15.00, to shut them up I paid the $15.00. In the month of July my payment was due and paid on the 4th (on line) which I always pay this way. Well they claimed that I was a day late and charged me $35.00 late fee. I refuse to pay the late fee so every month they take the late fee from my monthly payment which makes me short and late again so they charge me another late fee. My monthly payment is now $275.instead of $57.00 The monthly payment is increasing every month.They will continue to get my $57.00 a month and when I have paid all that I owe them, payments will STOP !But if they really piss me off I will sent them $1.00 every month and see how they like that !If you read this GE, Don't Mess With Vietnam Vets, cause we are a bunch of crazy [***] !

I am receiving on an average of 4 calls a day from 937-534-2092 and reported to Verizon security. Looked up and this number is connected to 1-866-893-7864. Connected to Care Credit. I called the 1-866 number and immediately tried to sell products and telling me I have won this and that. Can not speak to a person on either line. I have a bill with this bank Synchrony Bank. My payment is not due but the recording insist on personal numbers and making a payment on the phone. They are harrassing me and I'm not late. ???????? Beware of this because I got involved because of a Vet.

I continue to receive calls from this number. They have my name, husband's name and phone number.. when I answer they hang up. Please advise.

That's what happen to me I made my payment on line and because of the 4th of July they said that I was a day late and charged me $35.00 late fee, read my entire statement on 1-3-2012

EinsteinIf you could read the threads you would learn that some people simply were issued an old number from a previous person that did not pay their bill.Another revelation you could gain (if you try real hard) is that some people had a hardship due to medical, employment loss or similar situation beyond their control.And if you really close your eye and concentrate you could even learn that if they just wanted to hide from the collections department they could simply change their number, however since most of these people have done nothing wrong on their part and if in fact they are late on their bill, that still makes it illegal for the collection agency to be calling in the above noted manner.Based on what you wrote it is likely that you work for a collection agency or a similar line of work where it is your job to harass people and chase them for something they were suppose to do. You are simply there for a paycheck and could care less about why people are not doing what they should. Since you have no chance of being happy with your job or your life for that matter you then quickly judge people by saying it is their own fault that their privacy is being violated by people in India working for 50 cents an hour. You, Sir, are what I would call an “idiot”.
