A woman called and identified herself as secretary to Mr. Watson. Mr. Watson represents an interested buyer, Jim Athens. She talked fast with a heavy accent and said the name of her company was New York and Associates. The story was Mr. Jim Athens was interested in immediately buying our business. Mr. Watson would like to schedule a call to discuss. So glad I was in front of my computer and could immediately look this up and found this forum. Thanks all for taking time to make an entry! Scam, scam, scam!
My fax came from Peter Karen (Vice President). They spelled my manager's name wrong, and the grammar is horrendous. They are obviously not English natives.
Got a fax as well saying "Jim Athans" is interested in purchasing our company. This fellow really gets around.
received a call from Linda Wrather asking for our CEO because Jim Apthans wants to buy our company then she gave me a direct dial to Steve Wanson 854-586-1000. Amazing how many names Ms. Wrather has taken.
said it was Lisa, calling from NY Assoc and her client Jim Athens wanted to buy our company and to call him back at 954-586-1000
Received a call from "Linda" Rather (funny how she keeps changing her name) telling me that our CEO needs to contact her right away because Steve Watson has a client named Jim Athans who is very interested in buying our company.
Today's company name seems to be New York Private Equity Group. 1st off, they got my name wrong, which is irritating. If they really did research on our company then they would know that. They guys new name is David Clements and they have a "serious interest" in buying our company. all I can say is HELL TO THE NO!!!
New York Private Equity Company sent a fax and asked that we call "David Clements" at 954-586-1000. Ignoring it per this web site.

This number keeps calling me. The message they leave is like a clicking sound. No one speaks. Very odd. I’m blocking this number

My calls were being forwarded to this number and I have no idea how it happened.
They hung up. In the last ten days I've had unauthorized credit card charges and an identity theft related to a Medicare fraud case. I suspect this is related.

Medicredit I believe possibly is scam/fraud calls involving medical insurance, medicare. Courts WILL decide !!
