Just got a call from this number, thought it was real job offer, got excited and then pressed 1 nothing happened. Now I am reading these posts and realizing it's a scam. I did post my resume, so I guess everyone is right. They need to stop this foolishness.
972-200-9825 I'm sending this number as well as a link to this page (for proof to back it up) to my State Representative as well as our Attorney General's office to report. This is ridiculous! Liberty National is a bonified insurance company, yet they are ruthless in their recruiting efforts. They know that anyone who knows about them doesn't want to work for them. They get told time after time to stop calling (me included) because most everyone I know hasn't applied for a job with them. They search the resumes online from Career Builder and snag people's contact information so they can call. They promise you the moon and if you're stupid enough to go to work for them, as a friend of mine's daughter did, you'll find out, just as she did that they're NOT a company to work for. This being said... I hope everyone follows suit with me and copies and pastes this into a letter to their own State Representative as well as their Attorney General's office so that we might try to slow these folks down a bit! Otherwise, when filling out your resume, clearly put "IF YOU'RE LIBERTY NATIONAL.... DO NO CALL ME!!" - Do you think they'll get the hint? I deem them a nuisance as well as telemarketers because they are just that! ...On both accounts!
At least whoever is calling could say what company they represent, too ashamed? Embarrassed to identify yourself? I suggest then that you STOP CALLING!
Just got this automated call. It seemed sketchy because I never heard a company name, but I had just submitted my resume to several Dallas area companies. Hopefully nothing annoying comes from typing in my ZIP code and leaving a message trying to find out what is going on.
I just wanted to add I also recieved a call from this number. I did a little research and the company that belongs to this number is United Career Services. They call you based on job information that you have posted on Career Builder as with the rest of the people no one ever gets on the phone and hopefully they dont call back. The call is also Long Distance with the possibility of it coming from several different states!!!
I also just got the same call. I also did the research that Lisa did (I should have scrolled all the way down...). I released my resume two days ago on CB though I've been using CB for a few months strictly for job searches - so it looks like you have to allow your resume to be searched before they'll bug you. Too bad it's not a real job offer.
My call was automated from Liberty Mutual saying I should schedule an interview. I have posted through job sites like Monster and get a lot of unwanted calls.
