No idea who would be calling from Michigan Department of Corrections, especially with a TEXAS caller i.d.
The call is coming from Michigan Dept of Corrections. I wasn't sure at first but I have been communicating with the person and they called me from Michigan Prison. I had given my number to call, so, it is a legitimate call. As was stated earlier, Michigan uses a clearing house for all prison calling systems, which is why it shows as a Texas number.
We should believe someone that is in prison that the call is "legitimate"? Sounds exactly like what a con man would say.
I am 16 and have been receiving calls from this number for weeks now, often 2-3 times a day. I don't know anyone in prison nor recognize the name. Pretty sure this is a scam but regardless I plan to block the number ASAP.

Claims to be from a roofing team. Somehow knows real name and city. I keep getting texts like this from different numbers, they stop responding when I ask how they have my number.
