I got a call on my cell phone from 985-635-4267. Possible when I listed something on craigs list recently. I reported the unsolicited phone call to the FCC National Do Not Call List Complaint via online reporting.

Just got a call from this number. It was the Democratic National Committee asking for donations to "fight the Koch Brothers seed money". I told this ignorant woman she should ask George Soros and Mark Zuckerberg for more money. What a bunch of hypocrites! I guess it is ok for Billionaires to donate money to the DNC but Oh My Lord our democracy is in peril because of the Koch brothers.My jimmies are officially rustled!

Caller ID said: Coventry, LA and the phone number. I have a Panasonic phone that lets me block 250 calls. I'll just add this one to the list. I have no idea who the caller was, and, it appears none of the other people reporting to this website know either. Like most of the other people, I am also on the Federal Do Not Call List but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

I check into all of my unknown received calls, and find that most of them, as it seems this one is, are calls from a third party solicitor that calls on behalf of various legitimate charities to request further donations. If you read comments of others posting here, many state that the callers identify themselves as representing an agency that the poster has contributed to before, hence their familiarity with the name of the person they have called, etc. As a rule, I do not answer these calls, nor would I donate through an inbound call that I am not certain of the legitimacy of. I do think they are calling on behalf of these real organizations, but I choose to deal directly with these agencies online, or by placing my own calls to a known, verifiable number for a cause I support. The folks that work in these call centers seem to be terribly unprofessional, untrained and untrustworthy... Though they might be calling for a real charity, I would not trust giving them any personal info they could decide to use for some fraudulent purpose, if they independently decided to steal and use what is offered while under the employ of one of these third party agencies.

we're on the do not call list but are inundated with calls from telemarketers.

Just got a call from this number a few minutes ago. It just said "Louisiana call" so I didn't answer. They did not leave a message. I'm assuming it is a telemarketer.

Same prob - even better - get this - my father recently passed away from cancer - I inherited the family home - my parents have had the same phone number since 1966 - I wanted to keep the number because - well you know - my mother passed awy in 2000 - my father took care of all bills before he passed away - as far as he knows (knew) - now all of a sudden Discover is ringing the phone off the hook every day about a bill they say was never paid ([***] - it was paid) - I have already told them that she passed away 15 yrs. ago and do not call anymore - But - the only alternative is to file a complaint with the Louisiana Attorney General's office - Yah like that will do any good - WE NEED TO FLOOD THESE F"n SALES PEOPLE AND LYING BILL COLLECTORS PHONES LIKE THEY DO OURS - Everyone needs to work together and use reverse look up to locate their offices and anyone who can needs to catch them in the parking lot and beat them into a pulp!!!!!!!!!!I bet it will stop then.
