I got a call like this last week from a landline in North Carolina. I didn't pick up, but when I googled it, I got the same information as I am with this one. Someone told me the same thing as another person on this site said. If you press whatever number they tell you, you are authorizing them to charge calls to your account. I don't know how they can do this, but it may give a reason why they are bothering to do this.
I got this call this AM on my brand new AT&T cell phone. Didn't recognize caller so I didn't answer.
I always screen my calls and a 985 area code did not sound familier, plus no one, especially debtors have my new phone #. I didn't answer and instead looked it up online. I also a few days back got two calls that were restricted and unavailable, wierd.
I just received a call from the same number, at 12:49 pm I didn't answer but tried calling back and it said it was disconnected. Pretty Wierd
