The person making the call is *67 before they dial his number so you can't see the phone who is calling. This happened with me an old boyfriend had his newest girlfriend do this so I wouldn't have her number.

its because (999) is a mexico area code

I'm not sure who is using this number but I have my home security co. Investigating it.

Caller ID said Name Not Found.

I got a call from 999-999-9999 & the person with an Indian accent informed me that my internet connection was being hacked. I hung up after he persisted in arguing with me that he could stop the hacking.

if this continues on my phone bill I am changing carrier,,,and I have been a Verizon customer before Verizon was Verizon

i have been receiving 9999999 numbers listed on my bill (verizon) and the description on the bill states a number 0003037927, they come at all hours one in the morning three in the morning and 10 in the morning...no consistent time...what is wierd is that my phone NEVER rings! It is on my bill but never come through my phone! Anyone no what that is.

just got the same call on our home phone. my wife answered it and they said it was our local drug store and some meds were ready??? she called the 999 999 9999 back to see what was going on and they answered saying they were a texting outfit and was she interested in them?? she hung up.. did not not to call back on these phony numbers..have to wait and see what the phone bill says when it comes in....yikes!!

Blockbuster (movie rental place) has a 999-9999 ## and they call you to alert you that you need to return your movies, but that just might be a PA thing.
