Don’t pick up

Heavy Indian accent, claimed to be a collections agency and that I owed $1900 on my Amazon credit card. Never used my last name. Told her I never had an Amazon card, she pushed on with her claim anyway. Told her good bye and hung up.

Caller said she was calling on behalf of the Daily News Miner, our local paper (Fairbanks, AK), caller ID identified it as coming from Chico, CA.

This call came on my cell phone claiming my user id was compromised for my bank and click on this link to fix it. Ya, I dint click on it but went to my bank and sure enough, my account is just fine.

I realize this process takes time, just wanted to include number with this and hope I don't have to bother you further with this.

I've answered a couple times and no one ever responds on the other end of the line.

Phone number was included in a phishing email. Email included an attachment with a virus.

I googled the number and I found that many other people have been being bombarded with the same phone number.

this may be hilton corporation timeshares offering discount vacations in conjunction with a timeshare presentation.
