Just started getting these [***]-nine calls today. One at 11:08 a.m. & then 11:10 a.m. from "NAME NOT FOUND". I make all attempts not to answer anonymous, no name, etc. calls & due to the do not call list, I believe these calls are coming in like this to avoid being more easily traceable. More than likely, modem call.

Also received a call from this number, 081-234-5678, this morning on our second line. I answer with our greeting and get a beep. I immediately throw all calls on hold when this happens. And like what Mike ( June 2013 ) says, we also received a fax after ... on our third line which is a dedicated fax.The number you call to remove your number: 1-888-261-0348.The number you call to book a cruise: 1-800-385-2307. Your choice.Very annoying as I am on the floor working and have to stop, answer, and deal with solicitation ... with dead air.

we are retired and this is so annoying . They call at all times of the day please stop/

Me too get calls from 081-234-5678 and when answered i hear a fax tone. Is there anything I can do to avoid this..?

I received 7 calls from them with fax tones in last 2 brs.does anyone know how to stop them?

Here is what I learned quite a while ago and have implemented it for years now, whenever a nuisance call comes in then I pick up and IMMEDIATELY then hit the # button about 30-40 times and hang up. My understanding is that this action puts a wrench in the the technical "system" that is annoying you with calls. This number 0812345678 annoyed me once and on that call I did the above # method and no more calls back since, I can't honestly say that it works or not, all I do know is that anytime I do this # method on any annoyance calls then the calls do not repeat, for all it is worth you can try it.SaskSnowDog

I am new here, I mentioned my method in a reply format on page two, hope this is right place to post to be at updated location to give my technique in dealing with this and other annoying calls. Years ago I learned from somewhere (cant remember where) that picking up the receiver and then quickly hitting the # button about 30-40 times will jam up annoying party's technical calling system, been using this system for years now. I cant tell you whether it works or not, all I can say is that when I do implement this on any annoying call then the calls pretty much stop afterwards.
