112-161-1611 / 1121611611

I received a text message from this number. However, I did not open/read it because I figured that 112 was not a valid U.S. area code. Before getting the text, I had an incoming phone call from 402-982-0566 which I did not answer and which I have reported on this site (as many others have as well). These two events could be a coincidence.

I called and the lady said 911 emergency. I was like wtf and said I'm sorry no emerency

I think it could possibly be a satellite disruptions receiving the message from your phone to it. Anyways I called and it was the police (911 Emergency). I agree with Femaisall it's government. Try calling it back from different phones you'll see.

my friend got a text from my (bff) which is not her number and he/she keeps doing it and she is getting really mad

this has been going on with my unlocked t-mobile razr. changed to att and that's when it started. att said it's built into the phone and that it keeps reciving signals from t-mobile. the signal sends the text message. according to att they have no way in stopping it. eileen 28 july 2009 also has a unlocked phone with this happening. unlocked phones, different providers???

this error message is due to T-Mobile's network contact backup info. It is trying to backup your contacts on their site and sending a message from the phone even though you have the phone sim unlocked. Disable that feature from your phone and you will never get that text message again. T-Mobile is sending that text not AT&T becuase their network is trying to backup your contacts and can no longer access the info. Hope that makes sense!!

I am sick of this 1121611611. They have run up my phone bill. What are we supposed to do about this? Can anyone help?

I am sick and tired of this text coming in on my cell. It is running up my phone bill. What are we to do? I have reported this to BBB.

I get a text from this number when I have entered a phone number wrong and the text can't go through. I have service through at&t. Just says there was an error and please enter a valid number.
