1-234-456-7890 called and I answered and asked him to hold, I would be rigth back, left the phone off the hook for 10 minutes never called back

Got a call today from 123-456-7890....no one on other end, but now do I have to worry about my number being hyjacked?????

They are forging/spoofing the caller id system.Best to just use a form of "Selective Caller ID Blocking" if your phone service offers it.(Hint, some numbers are longer than the standard format. Just use the Caller ID Blocking service to block the last number that called immediately after receiving the offending call.Good Luck.

Left no message. Caller ID shows "Name Not Found"

They called my number twice. I picked up and somehow, they knew my full name and that I was in college when I have never met or heard of this person before.

These guys are basically thieves and crooks. Don't bother "asking" to be removed from their list. Just tell them you don't own a computer. The only reason they try this scam is that some people fall for it. And they're thieves.

Never said a thing at first. I blocked the calls and now they are calling even thought blocked 10-12 times a day. I gotta think it's a machine who hasn't gotten the message but it's getting quite annoying? Anyone know how to get rid of them. They know nothing...I owe nothing. It's 123456789 number.

Not getting calls, but rather text messages from this number. Called my local carrier and they said nothing they can do unless there's a police report. She said I can reply to the text just saying 'STOP'. Tried that, text failed to go through

The caller keeps calling me ...above Financial aide or grant money that I should be getting because my name was pulled,they asked me my age and my birthday ...then they wanted me to lie about my birthday ,and I refuse they sound like people who couldn't speak English and know how explaine their programme....I told them u was not interested and hung up. The call keep coming.

Called tonight, didn't bother to answer - who would answer a phone number that looks that deliberately fake!? :) I've been getting a LOT of other random 800# calls lately, and have no idea who any of them are.
