They called twice within 10 minutes and left messages. They said that my computer would be locked unlessI call them back at 1-844-879-2977.

Received two calls, but there is no one on the other end. Thanks to this site, I now know that it could be the scammers. I can't wait till they call back, and I can screw with them!

I have no idea who this is it says they claim to be from Microsoft if I don't call them back and pay the money they will turn off my Microsoft account permanently and I won't have access to my computer.

i get multiple calls form this nummber, claiming that a friend of mine entered my name into a contest at walmart and that I had won an all expenses paiod trip to hawaii. About 6 cals a week like that, all about 15 minutes long.I also get clls claiming my credit limit scor is really good and that i have won $2600 , all i have to do is push 1 to accept.If i ever found these people, i would drag them behind my truck down a gravel road covered in rock salt, then burn them alive.

Received a call from this # and let it go to voice mail. I couldn't understand it all, but the recording said something about security and financial information and to call a certain # (844-879 something) or my computer would be locked and service ended. I have no idea what she was referring to and will not call back.

That was me. And I have nothing to do with these other 123-456-7890 jokers.123-456-7890 is just the number assigned to "unsubscribed" cellphones donated to charity.

I get these calls at least once a week. Someone who I can't understand tells me they are calling from Microsoft and my computer has error messages. I play along until they ask me to sit at my computer so they can walk me through the steps to clean it out. At this point I tell them (usually David or Steve) that they are really good at their job because my computer is still in the box! Then for some reason they hang up on me!!Another one I've done and I only do this after they've continually called 3-4 times in one day.I'll answer the call, let them do their chat, at this point I will ask for their name and an ID number (most are quite willing to give me this info) then they tell me I need to go to the start button on my computer to get the process started. I let them talk some more and then tell them "you do realize that I am recording this call and when we're done I will be contacting my local police department". They hang up real fast after that!I haven't had any calls for the last month so may be they finally got the hint!
