got a text from this number telling me to go to my AmEx acct. and update my security code ... don't know how they connect me with an AmEx acct. I don't have one, just my hubby. Crazy.
I got two texts. One text the day after the first.FRM:AT&T Free MsgSUBJ:AT&T BONUSMSG:you have recived a bonus to your next bill, for more info call *68 or login to your account: www.wireless-att.tk.I actually called but it obviosuly couldnt go through. So I searched the url,its an unsecure site so obviously fake trying to replicate the actual AT&T site. I took a note from catfish, and searched the area code and found this site and just wanted to inform others.
I got mine at 9:45 same day....depending on timezones, we got them either at or close to the same time...so this is a program probably and probably a phishing one...I didn't open it but I reported the link and all the links left here to the all the anti phishing websites I could :D ...mess with me and I mess with you back, lolGetting the IP address too
Woke up to a very long message from jacquelyn v auten subj want to get laid ..... then about 2 pages of numbers and hash tags
Got a message similar to the others very early in the morning. Obviously fake email address, made up short code, and bogus words in the message pulled at random from a dictionary. I'm a little hesitant to even post the full text, since the original scammer/spammer could have -- at least in theory -- sent me a "personalized" message and then search sites like this to see if it got through. Perhaps that overly paranoid . . .Anyway, forwarded it to 7726 with originating number and got the same response from ATT as everyone else. I doubt that sending "STOP" to someone already doing something in the spectrum of unethical to illegal would really honor such a request any more than a mugger would, so I didn't bother.I don't have Anthem administered BC/BS, so that's not how they got my number. Could just be trying _all_ the numbers at random to see what goes through.
I received a text from this number this morning. Last night, there was a pop up on my phone that wouldn't go away. I never clicked into the pop up, I just went and closed it out. Would it be related to that? Also, my text had no link on it
Got text message from the same number. "Invisibility lesson! Gloating," plus garble. Did not click the link, of course. Obviously some kind of scam.
