I received a couple of phone calls from this company and had the sense not to sign up immediately to anything said by some person on the other end of the phone from god knows where. Here's my advice to all of you out there, when someone like this phones you - if you are genuinely interested ask for their details, what the REGISTERED NAME OF THEIR COMPANY IS (this is very important, often these companies are registered as a different name and so are hard to track with ASIC), and hten get their phone number for you to call back to the next day once you've thought it over. If someone/ a company is legit they will allow you to think about it and call you back/ give you their number to call them back. If they do not allow this they are going against the law! That's right. It is actually illegal for any company to not give you a chance to investigate their product and also they must give every cutomer a 30 day cooling off period. I used to work with a telemarketer once, so I do know.
I received a phone call from Stephen Rice and he has refunded my money. If you contact him with your full name and contact number perhaps he can do the same for you.
I got another one of your 'win a holiday' calls today and asked them to check why I haven't got the packageyet I paid for 4 weeks ago. They cannot find me in the system - surprise. I have tried to ring your Australiannumber and then was given a wrong number to call instead.I was looking forward to a holiday in Florida and now I have to work off my credit card debt instead.Thanks.If you have any morals at all please refund the money to all the people you ripped off.
G'day,I just recieved a call from these clowns and I think Mr Steve Rice and his scammers have just called the wrong bloke. Steve, I think I will purchase a web domain like TropicalGrandVacations-Scams.com and let google do the work for all of the above. Maybe put a link to this site and do a bit more home work on you and other employee names provided. Cyberspace is an amazing thing and I am sure payback is around the corner. Steve, can I please just ask that you post your credit card details on this Blog so you to can experiance all the fun other people have, you low life. Just remember Steve there is always bigger fish in the ocean than you and they have teeth, happy swimming!!The one that you did not catch....
I have to say I received a phone call from Stephen Rice to sort out what had happened that my package had not arrived. He was very sympathetic and has offered me a refund which I have to say was credited to my visa card when I rang the bank today. He has honoured his word and for that I am very grateful.
I am usually suspicious of these types. They caught me on a vulnerable morning. Called themselves tropical grand vacations and were supposedly linked with timeshare. We made certain that we could refund the package if desired. They told us we have 30 days to look it over after it arrived. Well it never arrived....[***]! They just charged the cc and my bank are now looking into it. I spent the whole summer working in an orchard to raise enough money to take the kids on a great holiday.... all gone! Over $700 ...... But I will work again next year and we will go..... they, on the other hand will rot in hell.
Thank you very much for these kind words Justin. I really to this day cannot comprehend why you all think you have been scammed when in all reality you bought a great vacation package. I challenge each and every one of you to come to Florida with your package and see the properties you will be staying at and I have no doubt in my mind every single one of you will be more than satisfied. We are providing you with Gold Crown resort accommodations which are very luxurious. Please understand I am here to stay and am not some con artist who takes people for hard earned money and then suddenly disappears somewhere. Please ladies and gentleman this is not a conspiracy theory, scam, con, or anything else along those lines for that matter. As I read through these blogs everyday I realize most of you have never even purchased a vacation with us and are just making accusations against us for no reason other than you feel it is convenient to do so. For the rest of you again who have purchased a vacation I still plead with you to stop thinking your money is lost and that if you have a concern with my company than please call me directly and I can guarantee all of your complaints will be resolved. I am going to once again post all of our contact information so that you may either call me, email me, or even send a letter to my attention. Please if you all feel strongly enough that you have made these postings then please use those efforts to help me solve your problems by getting in contact with myself.United Kingdom & Ireland - 0808-234-7528 - Monday thru Friday - 5 PM until 11 PM GMTUnited States & Canada - 1800-716-4869 - Monday thru Friday - 12 PM until 6 PM US ESTAustralia - 1800-638-753 - Tuesday until Saturday - 6 AM until 11 AM ESTYou may also feel free to send me an email at contact@tropicalgrandvacations.com . I received a phone call from Stephen yesterday 22/6/08 and after a very civil discussion he had told me he had instigated a refund last week. I phoned my bank this morning and sure enough the credit was there. Perhaps if you email with your address and phone number he will do the same for you. He was very apologetic and said he would check out why the toll free number is not working.
Hi Liz, I reported the scam to my bank in Adelaide South Australia and to my surprise they reimbursed me the full amount. I reported this company to the police as well I had to fill out a statutory declaration and submit it to the bank. I have never heard anything more from these scumbags.
My mother had a call yesterday being saturday she is an aged pensioner. she was offered this holiday in florida and never beed on a holoiday and was quite taken in.
