When they, called they new my first name, and asked if i signed up to some school i never heard off, i said no and was hung-up on, went to yhe computer looked up the # 202-458-8888

Google verifica

I just got a text message stating that my G-mail account had been compromised and locked out. Note the spelling. I was immediately suspicious. I texted back and got a phone call from 202-455-8888. I did not respond or answer.This was a phishing attack. My account was not compromised. Official Gmail verification codes are 6 digits and come from 224444 but may also come from other 6 digit short codes as well. As a precaution I changed my Gmail password the official way.I have reported the attack to spam@uce.gov.

Adcenter calling INCESSANTLY and hanging up for hours at a time

I just rec'd the call from 202-455-8888 and was given an access code, however I don't have a Google email or texting account so I'm not certain why I rec'd the call.

I received a call from 202-455-8888. There was no message. I do not have a google account.

Don't think you're so smart because that's exactly what it is dtyler. I created a new email with Google and they called back with a verification number. That's why the biggest technology company on the net calls little ol' us.

I received a text from 415-295-5862. The text read; "Your Google Account has been compromised. Reply NOW to receive a call to verify your account"I did reply NOW to that number.Then I received a text that read; "Activation #68157: Please enter the verification code - 15 - when We will call you." (this is exactly how it was typed)I then received an automated call from 202-455-8888 asking me to enter the two digit code. I did not enter the code. I went on Verizon's website and chatted with an agent who said these are scams. When you enter that number when they call, you've given them permission to bill your account with various charges.

Just got a call from them lol
