I got a call form here saying they're form NRG Research Group asking if I'd like to take part in the their panel. I also work for them and we're told that we're exempt from the do not call list since we're not telemarketers and we just conduct surveys on behalf of different companies and organizations for the sake of gathering people's thoughts and opinions on things. We don't sell stuff, just do surveys and ask people for focus groups/paid research discussion groups/whatever. I don't know much more than that if that's even true since I'm a bit doubtful myself sometimes. Just tell them (politely, please) to have them take your number of their list and they'll do it. If you get another call from NRG then that person probably isn't doing their job correctly or accidentally put it as something else (it happens.) Again, I don't know if it actually works, just sayin'.

I had several calls throughout January from this phone number, they never left any messages. I never replied to that Manitoba call, as I am in another province.

At exactly Sunday, February 5th 2012, 4:14am (my time) I called 1-204-989-8235, and got a voice mail and was prompted to leave a message. I stated my name, my telephone number, and asked them to please put me on their DO NOT CALL OR SOLICIT LIST IMMEDIATELY, and DO NOT call my number again.I said thank you, good bye, and hung up. If I get another phone call, I will file a legal complaint immediately.

Another pointless phone call

I just got a call too. They said in was an energy something survey and wanted to talk to the male of the house. I said I said I was not interested , and he said he was not asking to talk to me. I hung up.

Keep getting calls from this number just about the same time every evening. Am about to block it, but wanted to let others know. No one ever talks when we answer the phone, so I'm not sure what they gain...Just won't answer anymore if this number registers!

LET THEM DO THEIR OWN RESEARCHI KNOW NOTHING MORE THAN WHATS IN THE NEWSPAPER

They called me at 9:20 pm in the Eastern US last night from Winnipeg to say they were surveying lapsed AAA members. When I said I was current they said that was all they needed to know. Now are they using my AAA benefits and getting a tow or bailout? How is it that a Canadian company is calling US numbers? I am on the US do not call list.
