it is the number that auto-calls you back when you dial up Amazon.com for support. After you answer it, it will place you on hold until their CSR comes on to answer your questions.
That number is associated with Amazon customer service, you can not call it back, but if needed log in to Amazon, go to the help section, search contact amazon,,, you will see contact customer service,,, click that and it will bring you to a email,,,call,,,,chat selection,,, choose call is wants and it allows you to type in your number which connects you automatically to customer service,,, or choose chat and it will start a chat session,,, or choose email and this will be a blank form you type your message in...
206-508-4051 Same with me, no message, but I did recieve a package from Amazon today. I was also listed with UPS for a shipping status update. Unable to call back..goes straight to "Please hang up and try your call later" Message.
I work for amazon.com We do not make cold calls. when I received a call from this number today.. they said it was a restaurant... Only thing i can figure is someone has an account and is using this number for their account and are clicking the contact us button which directs our customer service phone to call the number associated with the account.. this is not an amazon number.
I just received a call from 206-508-4051 indicating she was from the AMAZON customer call center. She said she was calling about my account. When I asked whose name was on the account, she paused, then stumbling over her words said "I can't reveal that information for protection." My reply was, "Well, how do you know that you're not all ready talking to the account holder if you can't reveal the name?" She hesitated again, then saying "Well ~ you have a point." I asked again, so what's the account holder name that you are trying to contact. She repeated cautiously that she could not reveal that information. I asked if it was a solicitation or tele-market call twice, and she insisted it wasn't. I said, "If this indeed is 'Amazon', and they need to talk to us about our account they have our email address, in which they can and have communicated through in the past. I then ended the ball by saying "I believe this call is over. Please remove any names and this number off their calling list so I won't be bothered by anyone else." She agreed. Please be aware folks, she was probing me to offer her my name and account information by indicating it was in regards to a transaction on my account. Please, please don't give out any of your information if you aren't absolutely sure it's who you believe they are.Kind regards,D'Ann
