That is a Amazon number. Each time I send a request for a live person from Amazon to contact me over the last 6 years, that's the number they call from.There are many well known companies who use Amazon to Drop ship some of their orders items including Toys R Us, Best Buy.

I received two calls at 5 am!! It was Target customer service (joseph) letting me know that my package had shipped.

There are call centers who handle many different business' customer support using the same phone number. In High School I worked in the call center for Super 8 Hotels, but we handled reservations for Howard Johnson Hotels, Days Inn, Ramada, Enterprise Car rental, a few regional airlines, charter bus services, campgrounds across the country, timeshares, and made car service reminder phone calls for leased vehicles for some dealerships in another state. Regardless of which company we were calling on their behalf, caller ID showed the same number for all of that, but if you tried to call back that same number you would get the "unable to complete your phone call" message because it is more efficient to send incoming calls thru a different phone number to a small group of people who might not even be in the same building, city, state or even the same country as the people who handle the customer service, just like when you call Microsoft or HP, you call an American 800 phone number, but then you get transferred to a call center in India.

1 more thing, I did not answer the call but he did leave a message.

Number called me at TWO AM! I did send Amazon a request today, but I also did NOT put my phone number in the optional section. All I need is an email response from them.Did I mention TWO AM!I submitted my help request at about 6 PM.

When you purchase from target.com it's actually fulfilled by Amazon. 5am phone calls are not cool though.

I received a call from 206-508-4051, while I was away and he left a message saying he was on his lunch and would call me back, but left no other information as to who he is or if its from a company. The only think he said is his name is Michael.

Legit call. I sell on Amazon, and they called me and didn't leave a message. I called back, GOT THROUGH, they identified as Amazon, and while I was on the call, I got an email about a recent issue I had opened up.

I asked Amazon to call back in 5, and this is the number for outbound customer service. You can't call it back; you have to get their 800 number from their website.
