I got a call from this number too. Actually, I've now had 5. Guessing that means I will be changed $2. Here is a brilliant idea, not sure why my rowing and polo buddies didnt tell me about this already. I must discuss at my next game of bridge with them. I'm thinking it involves people at the highest levels of the government and phone company executives (aka, us in the top 1%).My hypothesis:1. Rogers (my telco) and possibly Bell, Telus and those other clowns, along with the members of the Canadian government that crafted and passed this bill are involved. I suspect that Executives at the phone companies and the politicians involved are directly or indirectly benefitting from revenues.2. An automated script(s) are dialing specific Canadian numbers and collecting 40c each time.3. These scripts could be running 2-3 per minute, calling random Canadian or US numbers. At 40c a go, running 24x7, each script could be generating $622k per year. If there were 1,700 such scripts running each year, that is $1B in annual revenue. That's a viable scam... oops, government approved business practice.What are telcos doing to protect users from being billed for such calls, or are they turning a blind eye? Maybe the government should put a stop to this? No wait, that would spoil the polo games these guys play on the weekend, or make for awkward conversation when we go to pickup the kiddies from private school. Best we dont do that. Hey, this number calls me everyday at around 10:04am in the 306 area code region. Frankly I've almost grown accustom typo using the call as an alarm to get up for work haha.. No seriously it's that bad.

Stop calling.

Keeps calling and if I pick up, they wait about 10 seconds then hang up. If I miss the call, they let it go to voicemail then hangup.

I got the call as well, my theory is that this is a company building up a database of cell phone numbers. It listens to your name on the outgoing message and then create a phone directory.

Apparently a spoofed number from some jerk collection agency as that number is dead when I return the call for a few minutes ago

This phone no call us at least 5 times a day. It always wake my baby up. Someone can tell me how to stop them???

Man I have the same problem and I am in Canada. The damn number keeps calling my phone and its getting irritating.
