this was a legit call in my case

I got a call from this number short after my Citibank card WAS compromised.

These people are scam artists. Any post that says the call is legit is a post from them. Don't call, don't give any info.

So, you call back & it's Citibank. I call back & it's Home Depot....please say your "acct number". Yeah, riiiight. Total SCAM.

Called citibank because of a fraud warning and they had me verify my PH# by redialing me from this number. (I dialed their 1800# from the back of my card. My account had bee compromised and I had to dispute charges. It was a legit call in my case.

we received a voicemail stating best buy and to call back. They left a call back number and reference number. When we called, the system stated that it didn't recognize the phone number, it was "capturing" the number for "further investigation". I HAVE NO IDEA what that was all about, but have not received any further phone calls.

Beware of this foreign caller. Caller pretends your Citicard has been compromised then asks for card #. Can you imagine!

They called and left me a message my Macy's Amex was being used without my permission and I should call back with the acct #! I knew better double checked wMacy's too. Crooks!!!

they called and said that my sears card was being used fraudulently, I told them I didn't have a sears card, then they said it was identity theft and i should call there identity theft division. I asked how they go my cell number, they said it was public knowledge, my phone is in my companies name not mine.....................mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Left voicemail from Citi check fraud unit with a callback number. Totally legit in this case. Perhaps someone else spoofs this number for other purposes, but in my case it was legit.
