This is a legit call. A citi card rep was supposed to call me after some charges they were supposed to reverse and he called from this number.
I didn't answer this call, looked up the numbers, read these comments, and was surprised when I saw they left a message. I rarely get messages from spam calls. I listened to the the message from the "Fraud Department at Citibank" about my newly approved credit card. I did just have a Citibank card approved, so I wrote down the confirmation number. I called Citibank back, NOT from any of the numbers left on my voicemail but from the number on my card approval form (which is the same number listed on their secured website). Citibank confirmed they had called as I have my credit set up to alert me for any attempted credit card openings. They took the reference number from the voicemail before releasing any information. May be worth checking out before automatically writing off as spam (which I do 99.95% of the time). I'm glad I called Citibank back directly to their legitimate or the card would have been canceled as a fraudulent attempt when I didn't confirm.
I received a message saying it was Citibank calling to confirm some recent activity on My Costco Anywhere Visa card, and that I should call them at the number on the back of my card or 855-375-7048, and provide the 4 digit reference number they provided. I made an on-line application for this card two days ago and was immediately approved, but the card is not expected to arrive in the mail for 7-10 days. I did not call the number and suspect this is a scam, but it scares me; how do they know my name and that I (almost) have a Costco Visa card?
I received two calls from this number this morning, but I didn't pick up. The lady left a message one time stating that she was from Best Buy and it was regarding my Best Buy credit card. She gave an account number that I should reference, when I call back. I don't have a Best Buy credit card... Beware of giving your information out.
I got this same call from 210-677-1346. Since I knew I was going to make some purchases due to some home remodeling I called my credit card company and asked for fraud department number. I saved it and now If there is a problem I call the number that was provided to me by the CC company. The called on 210-677-1346 said to call back 800-669-8465 provided a 4 digit code. When I called the number I have, they did ask me for that 4 digit code. Some how they are connected but to be safe use your credit card number on the back of your CC to return the call. They will transfer you to the correct department. Also if you are afraid that you might be compromised with fraud. Check all your credit cards and your bank statements.
