Hi Everyone, WOW! Upon going through ALL of these pages about calls from this number, I didn't realize that it goes back for a little over FIVE YEARS!!! Someone from this number left a 1 minute & 35 second voicemail on my cell phone last night (Sun., 3/25/2012), a little before 8 pm. There were several voices, and they all sounded like they were in a bar/diner/restaurant -- something to that effect. I could BARELY make out ANY words being said. At the end of the message, it sounded like a young fellow (perhaps late teens/early 20s), saying, "You're a real loser, Matt ..." . ??? Well, my name's not Matt, LOL! I figured it was a New York phone number (212 area code -- I'm from southern New Jersey), and I sent a text message to them, asking who it is. A text message came back, stating that it's a landline, and I approved to have my text message converted to a voicemail. I'm figuring that someone just dialed a wrong number; I'm not going to lose any sleep over it, but I just want to be certain it's not someone I DO know. I've noticed a LOT of people here have stated that it's some company called "ABT SRBI" / "SRBI", and they conduct some type of survey. I also read a post about someone calling from this number & asking to speak to someone's husband (health/HIPAA issues). Who knows? I'll admit that I had some companies that kept calling me, thinking I was someone else. When I kept hearing the same name, I called them back & stated that I changed my phone number back in October, 2011. They were ALL VERY polite and I haven't received any calls since. It's good to bear in mind that when you change your cell (or landline) number, you might "inherit" a number from someone who DOES owe money, etc. The FIRST thing I do is GOOGLE the number in question (of course).
Just filed a complaint with the FCC against these idiots per the info upthread because I'm getting sick of these repeated calls. There oughta be a law ...Either way, I will NOT answer a call whose number is unfamiliar to me and where no message is left. Get a clue, spammers!
Received a call this evening from the same number @ 7:18p didn't answer. I am on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY...so if this continues once the 30 day window passes we will have some problems! I am just keeping track of the calls.
Keep calling during day time and night at 8:30 ish and never leaves message. I have no idea how to report these people.
I have received about 3 calls from this number at around 8:30 pm or later. It wakes me up to, I'm old and have to get up early. So I finally answered last night only to get "hello my name is Yvonne and I am calling tonight to witness to you". I got angry and asked how she got my number since it is on the do not call registry and only used for business purposes. She replies "I just want to talk to you about Jesus" I told her I didn't care what she wanted, she was not to call again. The nerve of some people! Between these jokers, the charities that call to beg for things and the politicians that call, I almost wish I could dump phones completely. A lot of good it does to be on the Do Not Call Registry if these people are exempt from the rules.
