I am unemployed due to the economy. I go to many different sites daily to look for work. I made the stupid mistake of answering some questions about wanting to return to school. Now I have every school in the US calling or e-mailing me. Most of these 3rd party call centers are outbound calls only. I know because I called my carrier to see what I could do about these unwanted calls. What happens is this... once you do something stupid like I did, your number is sold over and over again to these call centers. Your number goes on an auto call. So the call comes to your house, you pick it up, but no one is on the other end. That's because there is no one on the other end that is available to pick up the call. This can happen over and over again until someone at the call center is available. The bad part is, there is nothing you can do about it. The phone company told me the most I could do is, just keep picking up the phone and when you finally do get a real person on the other end, tell them to stop calling. I followed their advice and it did work. Good luck to everyone.. and do not fill out surveys, ever!

I'm also very creeped out, it seems like this number just started calling me over the past day, but not just once, several times, i think about 4 or 5 times every two hours , at first i thought it might be a real estate agency because i was looking at several houses within the past few days, but then it got even weirder , i answered the phone the first time and it was just breathing so i stopped answering, but the last time they called i answered the phone and i could hear my name, except my phone isnt registered in my name, im seventeen years old and it's registered in my dads name. its pretty creepy, especially since i started thinkking about it and i didnt put down any contact information for the several homes i had been looking out, i dont know if im just paranoid or what but its just really creepy that its calling people all over the country especially since my phone is registered in New York . if anyone finds out what going on id like to know:(

I did a revearse trace on this number and it's a Cell from T-Moble. My guess, it's pay as you go phone. I received two calls today approximately 4 hrs apart. I have in the past received other calls by a simular cell number claiming to be college recruiting and admitted to getting my information off of a college info. application I filled out on Monster.com. Naturally, I told them to take me off their call list since I did not fill out said application. I always skip those.

IHAVE HAD SEVERAL CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER . I FINALLY STAR 69ED IT AND CALLED IT BACK IT WAS A BUSY SIGNAL. i HAVE A NEWBORN BABY AND DON'T APPRECIATE THE ANNOYING PHONE CALLS ALL TIMES OF THE EVENING. I ALSO WENT OINLINE AND INQUIRED ABOUT COLLEGE AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO LOWES AND I HAVE NEVER HEARD ANYONE SPEAK. IT'S DAMN ANNOYING!
