called 2x in a row on home phone, didn't recognize, so did not pick up, instead googled the number to figure out who they were and found these complaints. Glad I didn't answer. We are on the DNC list as well.
No message has ever been left. I am on the DNC call list and have been for over 3 1/2 years. I'm going to go ahead and assume it is a criminal type scam since they obviously don't fall under the DNC list of true legitimate telemarketers that the DNC has a list of! FYI...putting ones self on the DNC Call list does not protect and/or keep anyone from receiving the following types of calls: any criminal types of scams, sales or contest type of operations, Any and all type of charities arr also allowed to call persons on DNC list and finally registering with the Do Not Call List will and won't not stop any government/political campaigning calls!!! Just wanted to give everyone a heads up incase anyone was wondering!
From land line phone calls, Press *57 immediately after receiving the annoying call. It has a small fee attached, but well worth it.
Don't know who the caller was, they didn't respond when I answered my phone. I'm getting pretty sick of all the nuisance calls I've been getting on my cell phone. So much for consumer protection. What a farce that is. What's even worse is the all the phone companies charge you to block numbers, which I firmly believe should be a free service since they've allowed all these scammers to get our numbers.
got robocall from 214-316-9648 caller ID said "TEXAS" on Friday 02-14-14 @ 946 AMSCAM call about FREE Cruise....press 1 or press 9 to be removed. Pressed 1 & they start up with a "survey" question about social media ..blah...blah....press 1 for yes and press 2 for no.............so I pressed '0'. The recorder states 'you have entered an invalid number' and asks the question again.............after the 4th repeat question, the dumb recorder finally gets the clue that 'they have been played' and disconnects the call.
