Called while I was asleep. No, I did not get up to answer the phone, and they did not leave a message. Hardly a big surprise to find out here that it's a scam.For those who protest that they are on the no-call list(s) ... the scammers don't care. The list is a really good filter -- if you are on the no-call list(s), and they call you, and you don't know who they are, then it IS a scam. Unfortunately this does not stop the phone from ringing.Edward
first called from 551-226-6980 ext 311 and said they were state police wanting my brother number and address because of check fraud. this number is from Spam sender in New Jersey. They also gave this number 214-316-9648 (texas number) to us to call. Brother they claimed to be looking for is in Florida, and I live in Michigan. Know brother never even had a checking account. Think they were trying to steal his identity
Just got a call today from this number, caller I.D. says Texas, they of course left no message. We let caller I.D. and our Voice Mail take care of the intrusion of unwanted calls, but even so it's almost a full-time job being constantly interrupted by the ringing phone.
