This person keeps saying this is Kohls. Funny that the woman that answered was named Trisha. This is not Kohls I dont have an account and they are calling me. They are fishing for information.
They called me today and asked for my ex husband. I have been divorced for 4 yrs and have only had a Kohl's acct. for 1 year. His name is NOT associated with my acct. (which is paid) and he is in noway responsible for any of my bills. No reason to call for me OR him!
This is Kohls, the department store. This is their billing phone number. They could be contacting you regarding a payment, an error that you received on their website, or something tied to your charge card. It doesnt matter if you havent shopped there in years, they could be calling you to see if you wanted to cancel your card..etc.. everyone stop freaking out. It is not a scam. call the number back. You have the option to enter your Soc or your account#... you have to give your soc# when you apply to get the card so it makes sense. People overreact so much...chill out and call them back weirdos.
I didn't answer the call from 262-703-1977 because I don't give anyone my cell #. Instead I only provide my land line # which I set to call forward to the cell when I am away. When the cell rings and my phone is not on call forward I just don't answer it.
I have received numerous calls from 262-703-1977, caller ID reading KOHL'S DEPT STORE. I have credit accounts - all in good standing - but none are from Kohls. I do not even shop there. They have called when I am out but did not leave any messages. I am hoping to be home the next time they call (if they do). But I am sure it's a scam.
It was Kohls, fraud dept. Someone had opened on online account with my name and social, and used an old address they could pick any mail from. Since I wouldn't answer their questions I called a random Kohls store and asked for the fraud dept. Turned out it was bona fide. They recommended that I call the Federal Trade Commission, Credit Bureau and file a police report, which I did. Account was closed, and they said they would remove the entry from my credit, and I would not be held liable for the charges that incurred.
For the last few weeks, calls have been coming from 262-703-1977 with no CallerID showing & no messages ever left. Annoying, but not answering still.
I received a call from this number and they claimed it was kohl's. The computer voice wanted the last 4 digits of my social. I almost put it in, but then thought better of it and decided to look up the number they called from, and all of these other people have the same apprehension. I do not have a balance on my kohls card and have never received phone call FROM kohls even if I was late on a payment.DO NOT give them your information. Call Kohls directly from the correct numbers on the website or talk to local store instead if you are anxious about your account. VERIFY VERIFY. There is no reason for Kohl's to be calling you.
I sent in a check that was misplaced by Kohl's, so they did not know that I had paid. A month later, this number started calling me repeatedly every day, only leaving a message about 10% of the time. I called them back, figured out that Kohl's didn't get my check, and sent them a new one. I thought everything was fine.Last week this number started calling again, about 7 or 8 am every day, including weekends, and never left a message. I contacted Kohl's and found out that nobody had waived the late fees I had received on my account, so there was still nearly fifty dollars of late fees they thought I owed.Forget this number. I called Customer Service at 800-564-5740 and an automated voice told me to call back later, because no one was available to assist me. So I called the "account specialists" at 800-575-6457 (I got this number off of my statement.) The automated system is TERRIBLE, it asks you input your account number and the last four of your SSN repeatedly, and it takes you in circles. Finally, I got through to a human being, and within two minutes the gentleman had waived the late fees and cleared up my account. If you have a Kohl's account and have been receiving calls, I strongly suggest you use this number and fight with the system until it transfers you to a real person. After months of arguing with Kohl's, this gentleman was able to resolve my issue during my morning break, and was perfectly polite about it.If you don't have an account and are getting calls anyway, I don't know what to tell you. Calling 800-575-6457 was the way I got mine resolved, so maybe it would be a good place to start.
