I too have furniture listed on Craigslist. I got the exact same email as everyone else. Something didn't feel right so I googled the email address & came up with this forum.Thanks to everyone who has forewarned us. Thankfully, I didn't send her any of the information she requested.

I received the same scam message:This person continues to email and attempt to scam me under these different email addresses:loukelseeyxx@gmail.com, bouncewiththeboom@gmail.com, oldfool2008@gmail.com Hello,it is me Kelsey thanks for getting back to me i want to buy this but the only way i can pay you is via a Bank Certified Check that i would mail to you using the FedEx overnight delivery,To make sure that everything goes smoothly i would wait for the check to clear before the pickup is done, I would be responsible for the pickup and it would be done by the movers and their payment would be included in the check i mail to you and this is all due to my disability (am deaf) and it makes it hard for me deal with this and it makes the transaction better and quicker. I know you were not expecting this and I would have loved to come for the viewing but i cant I really want it and am offering an extra $50 for you to delete the posting to show i want it as i am just settling into my new house i want good deals to furnish the apartment i stay in. Ha! I have wasted my time with replying to these pathetic theives and it almost makes it worse, as the scams became more frequent for me. I wouldn't bother myself with it if I were you. They have no conscience and are uneducated,(barely speeking english, unless that is one of there sly cover ups) so will most likely not understand your sarcasm. I understand how you feel, though.

Got a response from Eva Knight for my listing..... when she sent the email asking for a money transfer the alarms went off in my head.She's asking for a status. I'm tempted to tell her I have come into a fair amount of $ and if she sends me $1000, I'll split it with her :-p

Seems like they are bottom feeders combing craigslist. We got one too. Felt it was a bit strange so decided to google the name Alicia Tanksley and found this thread. Can you imagine what losers they are sitting all day trying to scam people? Why aren't Craigslist cracking down on these guys?
