Called and I didn't pick up. Found this website and called BoA. They informed me that they called me to verify my new mailing address since they were sending a credit card to a new address. Nothing fake here.
i saw this number on my caller id. i never pick up unknowns. it went to voicemail and none was left. i googled the phone number and found this site.i don't even have a bank of america or huntington card. i'm in ohio
I did'nt receive a phone call but instead a bogus Bank of America cashier check for the amount $2,000 with instruction on how the money was to be sent out it was suppose to be a work from home job but it's a fraud and I still have the info I received via UPS overnight delivery you can contact me @ 314-348-8198 if you need anymore information and if you need my help to stop and catch this organization because I know I'm probaly not the only one to receive one of these fake cashier check
Found a missed call from 302-458-1590 on my cell phone log the day after it had been made. No reason to call it back because the phone number is brand new, has never been given to anyone and the phone itself is not in use. The number for the phone is just there to start service on a new carrier until my contract is up with my old carrier next week, and I can transfer my old cell phone number over. This means that no matter what anyone were to say, it would be fraudulent. Clear evidence of a random robo-call.
Got a message telling me to call 1-800-383-0618 to verify charges on my account. They used the name "Card Services". When I called, I was prompted to enter my credit card number. I hung up and called the phone number on the back of my Visa card. At no time did the message indicate they were with any particular bank or credit card. This is a scam.
I called B of A from the online support number provided at the B of A site and they routed me to Credit Card Dept and I found someone had applied for credit card to my old address that was 5 yrs old. I had to deactivate the account to avoid fraud. Don't make the mistake of not following up with B of A if you get a call from this number just don't use the 866 number provided in the message because they will ask for personal information and you may be at risk. Use phone support option from www.bankofamerica.com/
I just called Bank of America and asked them if my phone number was in their system for anything, They said no! When I talked to 302-458-1590 I had to dial 1800-441-7048, They asked for an ext. I put in the "Meilian" girls ext listed above at 61925. She was extremely rude.. long story short BANK OF AMERICA TOLD ME THIS WAS A FRAUDULENT NUMBER!!! THEY ARE NOT WITH BANK OF AMERICA, OR ANY BANK FOR THAT MATTER!!!!GIVE THEM YOUR INFO IF YOU WANT YOUR IDENTITY STOLEN!!!
I received a call from this number a couple of weeks ago. They left a message that said they wanted to talk to Raymond Bunny about October Third Trucking's business Mastercard accounts. Now today they left another message by a woman who spoke very quickly and wasn't very clear. It sounds like they are after the same person but the name was pronounced like Boonie or something like that, this time. They are calling a private cell phone number and I've never heard of the guy or the company. They left different 1-888 numbers to call. I've had this number for 6 years so I don't know if it's from something really old from the previous person who had this number or what. Wish they'd stop wasting my minutes!
I received a call from this number and called them back. It is legitimate. I had not used my bank of america credit card for some time and today i bought my books for school with it. They were calling to verify that it was me that used the card and not someone else. When I called it seemed that the place dealt with lots of types of accounts, he initially asked me for my account number. Since I had read this bulletin board, I was suspicious so I told him I was just returning a voicemail and wasn't sure what this was about. He said that I could give him my phone number so he could look me up. He did and asked me other security questions and then read to me the last two purchases I made (the books) and I verified they were mine and he took the hold off my account. This is typical of credit card companies and a service we should be grateful for. When my wallet was stolen a few years ago they notified me before I even knew my wallet was gone.
