Basically here's the deal. Somehow these people have access to your transaction information. Anytime a charge comes across that is POSSIBLY considered fraudulent by B of A, these people call in order to appear legit. Minutes after I placed a large order today, similar to others which occasionally catch the eye of B of A fraud, I got a call from the same 302 number everybody's talkin about. Sounded fishy (no pun intended), checked on my card -- it was fine. B of A hadn't put it on hold (and believe me, I get my card put on hold quite frequently) and this number is definitely phishing.Bottom line, your card is being tracked by somebody most likely with an RFI reader that passed by you on the street and they collect your transaction information, find when you make a purchase that would normally put a hold on your card, then call you pretending to be B of A to get your card info.[***] phishers! I got u. lol
lolololololol. You make me feel like trolololol dude. You know how I know democracy doesn't work? Because people like you have the right to vote.
The message I got was from Fidelity Card Services (associated w/ BOA in some way) and was your run of the mill collection call. Rick at 800-214-3544 x35018 - very important business matter, etc.
I received a call from this number today, 11.5.2011 - immediately assumed it was a fraudulent call. So I called the number on the back of my credit card. I told them I received a call from a number that was not the number on the back of my card, they connected me to my card's fraud department and they were indeed checking on fraudulent activity on my account. SO - just call the customer service number on the back of your card to be sure that something odd isn't going on with your account.
This is FIA Card Services employed by Bank of America to collect past due credit card payments. I talked to them last month and they took a payment on my account and applied it to my account. From what I've seen they are legitimate but I will ignore them in future if all your saying is true.
I got a call from this number this morning after making a large-ish (for me) purchase:After placing the order, I got an email saying that my payment had been rejected. At almost the same time, I got a call from this number. When I picked up, she identified herself and asked if I had made the purchase. When I said yes, she removed the hold. The caller did not ask me for my card number or any identifying information, just whether or not I had spent $xxx at that specific retailer.I had to re-do the payment, but it has now gone through.
