They called my company cell phone and beat around the bush about seeing 'my company's profile' online. The fellow was clearly from overseas (India?) and asked my name as the business owner. I played along for awhile. He confirmed my street name and postal code "as listed in my profile" but then asked what city I was in - how stupid! I repeatedly asked the purpose of his call; he said he was "interested in my business". I asked if he wanted to hire us, he said "he wanted to help us increase our profile to other businesses" I asked what he was selling and he assured me "nothing" After several minutes of me pressuring him to get to the point about the reason for his call, he suggested that "we needed a 'platform' to effectively market our business. Eventually the word "website" was mentioned and I said that it was obvious that he was selling something and that he lied and I was therefore not interested and then I hung up. He never did provide a company name. Another typical call-center marketing gimmick!

that number called here four times today. nobody actually talked to me. just a bunch of noise in the background. welcome to India.

contact your service provider and ask to be put on the national do not call list

The number displayed on our landline phone today was 12022040484-302-956-9406. We did not answer it and no message was left by them. Who is this?

exactly the same with me. work for a doctors office. i asked his name and he said i was to answer his question first. i said no and hung up!!!

Got a call from a very nice speaking guy. He asked for general manager and I said this isn't a business you have reached a residence. He repeated the business name and I told him that he was mistaken, he politely apologized and hung up. First nice telemarketer I have encountered.

Had almost the same thing happen. He asked to talk to my boss and I told him he was unavailable but that I could pass on a message. He wouldn't guve me any information or tell me where he was calling from besides to say that he was a "business consultant" and asked me to give him my bosses personal number. I told him that I was not allowed to do that but that I could pass his information along. He started getting snarky, asking me if I even know what a business consultant is. I told him I do and I'm asking the name of the business that he is consulting for. I'm not about to give a telemarketer my bosses personal number. He laughed and asked for my full name. I said I wasn't giving him that information as I don't even know who he is. He said he's going to email my boss to "tell him what kind of employees he's hiring" and I said "okay great, have a nice day." And hung up. So rude and unprofessional. PLEASE email my boss you loser lol.
