I have received about 25 calls from this number and many from other numbers over the last two days. Most were hang ups, two were trying to sell me on an online school and one was from Cash for Gold. The Cash for Gold lady told me that I'd signed up on a coupon website and that is how they got my number. I can't believe I put my real phone number on a form. I didn't even put my correct name or address! Hope this solves the mystery for some of you. If this continues, I'm going to take some sort of action.
USE SELECTIVE CALL REJECTION ON YOUR PHONE. CALLED MY PHONE COMPANY AND I USE THIS FEATURE, LOOK IN THE PHONE BOOK AND IT SHOULD HAVE THE INFROMATION YOU NEED TO STOP THESE CALLS.SOME OF THESE FEATURE GO WITH YOUR SERVICE. GOOD LUCK, I SET THIS UP TODAY AND CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IF IT WORKS, THEY CALL THREE OR FOUR TIME ADAY,
After almost two weeks straight of getting hang up calls from this number, i finally picked up and someone answered...This 1-305-800-1000 number as anyone can tell from an internet search is a Miami area number, which is not listed. I tried to call back before and it gave me some error message stating that the number couldn't be made as dialed. So anyway, this lady with an accent speaks up and asks me about my recent Acai Berry purchase. I almost forgot that i ordered this "free sample" thingy earlier this month. They originally charged me just 99 cents for shipping. But they charged my like 30 something dollars a few days back after someone called me on my cell while i was at work and i just said, "yeah whatever, just get me off your list"...I am only speculating here, but it seems that this Acai Berry bs company- is trying to get me to be stuck in a purchase plan with them.1- the lady i spoke to said she wasn't in cancellations and when i asked for the number she hung up on me...2- when i had tried to call the cancellation number weeks back (i lost it and eventually forgot to keep calling as i am sure they are hoping), nobody would pick up or it was busy. wtf?3- for every month they charge you $90? So when the lady spoke to me all she would listen to was whether or not i would opt to upgrade now so i could avoid a monthly 90 fee, and just keep it 30?-look all i wanted to do was try a new product free as advertised, not be hassled and freaked out by calls where no one says anything and makes me feel like i am being stalked... especially when they call 13 times in one day- wtf x2?so if you receive these calls, i would suggest blocking them. its cheaper than having your bank charge you if you want to block them from your bank account- Citizens charges $35?! - i had initially called my bank to have this Acai Berry company blocked from charging my account. Wouldn't banks do this for free back in the day, or am i imagining it?In conclusion, nothing against the Acai Berry people here, but doing some free sample/trial thing should not be all this hassle. I am sure that their Acai Berry formula or what have you is legit... But if it works that well, then why do they need to try to trick people into payment loops and such? Is their product so good that people get in shape so quickly that they don't make much money from traditional sales??-chris
Calls and leaves no message- when you call it back it doesn't go through - THEN when you block it the number stills comes through! Pretty scary!
I have been receiving calls from 1-305-800-1000 for the past two days, morning and night. I have blocked the number, but if all goes as usual, they will try me on another number. I see that this number has been used for many types of fraudulent calls over the past two years. They all seem to an attempt to get you to give your personal information to "prove" who you are. I wonder whether they are rotodialers or are calling targeted lists. These people are no less criminal than a house burglar.
I have been getting these calls 2 or three times a day for the past month. Finally someone was on the other end. I asked who they were and they said they are from Acai-berry.com a company called Monavie. I asked them to take me off there call list and I complained to the company about the harrasement. You should all do the same go to acai-berry.com and complain maybe the calls will stop
Called me twice yesterday. No msg left. Phone # seems to be from a land line in Florida.
Do we all have something in common? Or is it one of those numbers that charge you big bucks when you get your bill? Are you all from Cingular/AT&T
