I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST AND THEY DIDN'T BOTHER TO CHECK THAT. I AM VERY OLD AND I DO N O T WANT CALLERS-----------------ESPECIALLY AT BED TIME --WHICH IS 6 oclock p m FOR ME. I AM GOING TO THE FEDERAL GOV'T ABOUT MY COMPLAINT.

I chose to answer this one; as with others, the CID said "News." It was someone purporting to be from my local paper; when he asked if I was getting the paper here I flat-out lied (hey, THEY aren't above lying to get what THEY want...) and told him we were. He asked if everything was okay, no problems, and I told him it was fine. He said he'd update his records (which I presume to mean remove me from the list) and we hung up.

OH if that only worked..in a perfect world I guess. Do you know how many times I've told these yo-yo's I'm not interested...do not call me again...!!!! The next night...here we go again...and the next, and the next, and the next. My husband has resorted to 4 letter words and that doesn't seem to deter them either. They are tenacious to say the least..along with annoying, inconsiderate, and rude.

I get these calls periodically. Caller ID just says "News".

OK I think I found our solution....This bunch of a$$holes were calling my mother 2X's a day for a month and she was almost going to go to Verizon to have them change her telephone number. This company is nothing more than modern day TERRORISTS. Anyhow....READ THIS:I called 314-845-2825 and not so nicely told them off and told them repeatedly to stop calling my mothers cellphone and kept repeating her number to the man that picked up the phone and he said it would take 72 hours to begin working to not call her number anymore. And I would gladly tell you that the calls stopped for my Mother immediately. I will let you know if she gets one more "BOGUS" call hanger upper...These people should be sued and thrown in jail....these complaints on this message board date back to friggen 2007.Call 314-845-2825 and ask to be removed from the calling list.Good Luck,Cindy

These calls are from a company called Pisa, which is hired by newspapers and other companies to increase sales, subscriptions, etc. If you are on the National Do Not Call List, such calls are a federal violation. Report this violation to the Do Not Call List website and the company will be fined. If you are not on the list there isn't much you can do except refuse to answer your phone and let the missed-call function work as a screen. Simply delete any numbers that aren't from people you know.

Sir, this was happening to my mother and I called yesterday morning to 314-845-2825 and asked to be removed from the calling list and it seemed to work for my Mom so far no calls. Please give it a try.Good luck!Cindy

this number calls 5 times a day no one answers and they just keep calling
