100% legitimate, expecting a package that would need a signature.

Got a call from this number today. I was at work when they called, and there wasn't a message left on my voice mail. The caller ID did show that it is UPS calling, and a call back to the number confirmed that it is just a heads up for a delivery that will require a signature. I sent my xbox in for repair less than 2 weeks ago, and I'm sure that this is the delivery they were calling for. Yay =)

You know, maybe there is someone else with a similar phone number but it got entered into the system wrong.If 99 people say it's legit, and 1 person had a different experience, maybe it was just a fault in the system and not the 99 other people.

This is because it costs money to go back out and redeliver a package. This proactive measure ensures that the recipient of the package is available. Most delivery companies project costs for packages based upon pickup, sort and delivery. They do not look at operating cost for 1st, 2nd or possible 3rd delivery attempts. In short, it is cheaper for the company to deliver the package the first time successfully.

This number is UPS. It was an automated message letting me know that I had a package coming that required a signature upon delivery.

just received a call from this number on my cell phone. i always screen calls and they didnt leave a message. i usually do a brief research of the number before calling it back. this website was the first result. i AM expecting a package from UPS tomorrow that it supposed to have a signature. when i called back there was a simple recording telling exactly what i expected. this is a QUALITY service by UPS and people should stop being so paranoid about a little phone call!
