Got a call today, but didn't pick up. I am expecting a package from UPS tomorrow, though.

i got this number hour ago i didnt order anything from ups but i did sign up for on of those surveys that give you an xbox 360 for compleating an hour long survey wonder if thats what it is didnt expect anthing i was just bored.

I am expecting my notebook computer tomorrow and this number called while I was napping. A phone call back revealed it to be UPS.

Do not be overly disturbed by this call - it's just UPS notifying you that a delivery is coming soon that will need an actual adult human to receive it.Never mind that they don't tell you where it's being delivered, and never mind that they aren't specific about it being COD or not, it's just them sending a generic notification that they're coming.In my case, a hard drive was being repaired by Seagate under warranty - and even though the drive value is only $30, they sent it with signature required via UPS.

I didn't answer this number, then later called it back. Got this."Thank you for calling UPS. You have reached this number because we have attempted to contact you either about an upcoming delivery requiring a signature, a COD, or..."I have a signature required package scheduled for tomorrow delivery.

This is just a call to let you know that you are going to receive a package, but someone over 21 needs to sign for it. It may be a high value, meds or even alcohol. I knew I was getting a package and that I needed to sign for it. Usually I do not need to be there, but for this particular package, I am happy to have a heads up before it comes. I dislike telemarketers as much as the next person, but this is not UPS trying to sell me something. They are just following what the company that shipped your products has asked for.
