Female caller claimed to be part of a research group.This is how they think they can skirt the law; political groups & researchers are permitted to call even though you're on the National Do Not Call Registry. In reality, they're telemarketers with an energy company trying to obtain your current provider's information. Telemarketers are NOT exempt from abiding by the National Do Not Call Registry. Either don't answer if you don't recognize the number or hang up when they start their spiel. Under no circumstances should you give them your account number. Also be sure to report them. Maybe they will get a multi-million dollar fine like Dish Network.
Called this afternoon.... Answered but no one was home... lol (In more ways than one, I’m sure! Lol)Just food for thought... Saw several folks say this number was a survey for Duke Energy. Not sure why they’d call here, IF that is correct... this is North Florida!
Phone call received after 8 p.m.; caller ID "Opion Counts". Picked up; no one on line. Immediately hung up. Probably some third-world country scammer who routes calls through U.S. Numbers (lots of those lately!). Do Not Call listings mean nothing to these idiotic moronic thieves.
This 336-544-0753 calls around 8:30pm every night & continues to cal back 3 times because i don't answer. They never leave a message & the caller ID says: Counts OIf they are a ligitimate research company, as some state above, they seem to go out of their way to disguise who they are which to me spells Scam..........
Guy wanted me to answer some demographic/consumer questions. I answered "yes" to every question about which products I use and he told me I didn't qualify to continue. Oh well.
Got the call at 6.52 pm today. Didn't answer - no message left. Maybe next time they call I will play with them. This is our home/biz number so I may try to sell them something. They will not want to be calling my number back again!! ;)

Legit. Called to inform me the fire alarm went off at a family member's home.

This is a secret shopper call. Making a simple process hard for customer service agents. They cause you to lose your job. I wish Citibank would do things differently. Thinking about not doing business with them.
