Got the same type of call in WV - said they were GE security. They have called 4 times and have been told 4 times not to call.
The call came in at 8:12 pm as a out of area call. I answered it and nobody siad anything so I hung up.
I got a call not 5 minutes ago on this from the same number. No one answered and I tried to call it back as I have extended family in Florida and wanted to be sure it was not one of them. The number is out of service, but yet still shows up on incoming calls. This has to be some kind of scam, or someone who clearly does not care about "do not call" lists.
Do as I did....answer the phone with " Hello, Smith and Smith Attorney at Law".......phone went CLICK! bawahaaaa!
Received a call from this number but did not recognize the number so I did not answer, they did not leave a message which made me look up the number. After reading the other listings here, I will never answer from that number!
This phone number just called me and claimed that I was randomly selected by GE to win a free wireless home security system. She said that all I needed to qualify was to be a home owner and to give her information. I then hung up. BEWARE: SCAM ALERT!!!!!
called just now: 12/8/2010 8:30pm Eastern. I heard him say hello, I said hello and he hung up.
Got a call from 352-352-1234 last night. did not recognize the number. did not answer and they left no message
Said they were GE and I was one of nine people selected to win a $1200.00 appliance of some kind. I interrupted and asked why they were calling my number and when he started to explain I interrupted again, said I was on the do not call list, not to call this number again and hung up as he apologized.
