They told me I'd been selected by GE to have a free security system installed. He said in order to be eligible I had to be a home owner. Then he asked...Are you a home owner? I said "put this number on your do not call list. Thank You." Then hung up. I added the number to my Call Blocker.Think I'll change my answering machine greeting to, "Hello?.............Hello?............Hello?......" Since the computer dialing doesn't seem to connect agents to answering machines. The Hello pause will fool them and they can babble for awhile before they get the beep.
i also didn't answer and when i called it said please hang up and try you call again. the number was not in service. Somebody shoud report yhis to GE.
2 calls from this number this a.m. (1/7/11), went to vm, did not leave msg. The number is on the Do Not Call list.
I received a call from a man with an Indian accent asking about smoke detectors - I told him to remove me from his calling list and he hung up without comment. This follows one last week that asked about fire alarm protection. I guess I won't answer the phone anymore!
Just got a call from this number on my land-line (I'm in WV). The voice on the other end was speaking rapidly with a very heavy accent and sounded very faint. I said "Hello" a few times but then the call got disconnected, so I don't know who called or what they wanted. Looked up the number from the Caller ID on Google and found this site. Whoever these callers are. looks like they're wearing out the buttons for the sole purpose of irritating people. :)
