My mother just got a call from this number and the caller claimed she had a criminal case against her and she was going to jail. He also said the FBI was after her. He would not give me the name of the plaintiff in this supposed case or the reason that there was a case. I asked for his supervisor multiple times and he asked for my husband. He also cursed at both of us multiple times when we refused to give him any information and told him to remove us from his calling list.
Received call from "Eric Jones" heavy accent and same as others. Wanted me to press the windows key on my keyboard. I played dumb and said I could not find it ( I wasnt lying have a MAC) His frustration already starting. He then was trying to give me CTL commands. I finally said in a pitying voice "You must be desperate for a job to take one such as this. I will pray for you". He didnt swear at me, just hung up. Disgusting. An elderly person not knowing could fall for this. How can we stop them?
This number has attempted to contact me for days. I returned the call by blocking.y number. No answer. I blocked them so now their calls to my phone goes to VM. Yet never leaving me a msg. Thanks for info!
They invaded my computer because being ignorant I thought they were legit they are scammers that will lead you to think your computer has been hacked

Get calls from this number several times a day. I have TrueCaller downloaded on my phone and it says that the call is generated in Hungary! Blocked them and reported them as SPAM. Have never talked to them. I tend to not answer calls from numbers I do not know or that show up on my caller ID as SPAM.

Got my name wrong, no where near close to the person they're trying to scam/contact. Call came from North Texas, left no company name, nothing. Shady asf, 888 area code is commonly used by scammers so this may not be legit.

Sent an email trying to encourage people to call Bank of America at this number. As phishing attempt go, this one was better than most. I can smell these things a mile away.
