That's what I figured. Once they verify the info you can be certain you will begin to receive more frequent telemarketing calls. I would bet that even if you only answer the robo-dialer will record that the number is active and update their database to that effect.
This company has called us at least 20 times this year asking to update our information, I have asked them at least that many times to remove us from the call list as our company does NOT need their service. They refuse to remove us. Being on the Do Not Call List is a joke !!! I have asked many companies to stop calling us, yet they continue to do so. Our Government Taxes at work and waste.
Got this call on my business's cell line today. Stupidly confirmed the data. Then started doing some research. Apparently there are some survey companies, and data collection companies that legally do not have to abide by the DNC. If that's the case with this company our complaints are just wasted paperwork. Do we not have any recourse to stop them from wasting our time?
CALLED ME AND I LIVE IN AN IGLOO IN CANADA. WHAT DO THEY WANT ? THOUGHT IT WAS MY BROTHER WHO OWES ME MONEY SO GOILOILGOPED THE NUMBER AND ENDED UP HERE. QUESS THATS WHY THEY INVENTED THE TELEPHONE.
Just received a call from the same number but coulnd't answer I was on lunch time.
We received a call from the same number this morning. They said they were from Canada Revenu. After checking, we found the number were from Arkansas.
For two weeks, have received calls from this number, which, on caller id, is identified as Global Reach. Several times daily.
Also got a call and although you are right the Do Not Call list doesn't apply to business. We switched our phone number from a landline to a cell phone and the soliciting calls are almost non-existent.
