Just called my cell and thought that I would look on the net to see what this was. Same as others, It rings till someone picks up. Nothing can be done, Not inless you run a dail program to there 800 numberand that will cost them a few thousand. You just need an old computer and Dos to do it.......

Whe ever it is keeps calling my cell phone. When I answer I hear a call back ring tone so I hang up. They don't leave a message in my voice mail. The only way I can call block them on my cell phone is to assign a silent ringer to their number. Their caller ID, which can be spoofed, says they are calling from Nebraska. My cell phone number is on the do not call list.

Just received a call from this number claiming to be InfoUSA and wanting to confirm our info. She had an address that was over 10 years old. I told her "there's so much incorrect info online on our company it's not funny." I gave her the new address, but nothing more.

InfoUSA calls businesses to verify phone numbers, addresses, and current oweners names. They are a company who works FOR other companies. They do advertising and mailings for companies that hire them. I had a chance to work for them. That call would likely have been legitimate.

Alot like the other calls-as I answered the phone I could hear it still ringing. When I said Good Afternoon, and my business name, a lady said I'm sorry I dialed the wrong number, and hung up

Just got a call from that number. I only confirmed or denied the questions. Some of the information she asked was years out of date. I never gave her the correct information. When she started asking financial questions I refused to answer. The line went dead.

They Called my friends business cell phone 5 minutes before they called mine. I answered mine. A male identified himself as being with infousa and asked if he had reached my business. He named the correct business. I told him no he had the wrong number and hung up. I thought it was funny though that they had just tried my friend who is in a total different industry. We were sitting at a coffee shop when it happened.

I am the secretary of a church, and we get calls from this number quite often. Today (at 9:28 am)the phone rang, I let the answering machine pick up (as always) and they hung up leaving no message. I decided to look up the number, and found this forum. Very interesting that they call such a wide variety of places and with such strange info gathering tactics. I believe I have spoken to these people once maybe last year ('07). I grew suspicious of the questions and ended the call. Glad you were here to shed a little light on the situation. Very Strange

They're just verifying business phone numbers from online directories. I have a number that used to belong to a local business, I get a lot of wrong numbers, and these guys removed the number from their database, so it's a good thing.
