Info USA Received call. Told individual that we do not verify information over the phone.
I recieved a call from Info USA the other day and just hung up on them. I forward my business calls to my cell phone and won't waste my minutes or time on these annoying people. I got another call this morning and it comes up 402-930-3659, Omaha, NE, it started ringing back in my ear as I picked it up. They called me, not me calling them, so I hung up. I don't even bother trying to be added to a their no call list anymore, they still want your info and if you call them back who knows where and who you are really calling. I recommend adding call blocking to your phone. I get these calls all the time and then I put them on the block list. If they call they are supposed to get a message that their call has been blocked. There are many companies out there that do this, as Internet Yellow Pages. I have been in business for over 17 years and I don't think my local business will fall off the earth if I"m not listed on their website. They say it will all come down to the internet, but with scammers, automated phone systems and crashing computers, eventually it all will come down to going back to the old ways, technology or not. Dealing locally and giving good customer service and my reputation keep my business going. I personally like to deal with nice friendly local people that when they give their word and a handshake, you know you can count on it, not someone from who knows where that is just waiting to scam you out of your hard earned time and money.
Wow! 29 pages of complaints on 800 Notes, that must be a record.Anyway, they wanted me to verify the owner of the business and I told them the person they had on file was not the owner. When they asked who was I said I was not at liberty to tell them. When they asked for someone who could tell them I said no one was allowed to divulge the owners' names.I do think she sounded like this had pretty much been the song and dance she'd been given all morning, perhaps for days on end.She did id herself as being from InfoUSA so it does give you the option of knowing who you're speaking to before answering any questions.
This number rings my business phone every morning around 9am. No one ever responds, and if I stay on the line long enough, I get the "disconnected call" tone blasting in my ear.
Received a call before business hours from this number. Did not answer call. Looked up number via Google and was directed to this site. My suspicions that the call was a telemarketer or other was verified by the comments left here. They have changed the caller id which now reads "Omaha, NE" instead of InfoUSA.
I too get a call from two numbers: (407) 551-6000 and this number (402) 930-3659 back to back, I did not answer the first number, so the 2nd. call on the 3659 came after immediatly.Of course, I do not answer to call-ID numbers, I do not have in my call list.So I guess they were very dissapointed, to have not Phish anything from me.BobT.
