There has been an unauthorized charge to my credit card by PAYPAL*HKTOPTRADER, 402-935-7733
Hopefully this helps some people. My bank card recently expired (the expiration date) and my bank automatically sent me a new card with a new expiration date. I have auto-pay set up with some minor accounts online and my old card info was still showing in my accounts. Two of those accounts have "pinged" my bank with $1.00 charge to see if indeed the card had expired yet (my payments were due). This "reminded" me I had not gone online yet and updated my accounts with the new card expiration date. I am responsible for keeping my card information current! This was a courtesy of sorts on their part rather than charging the full amount of my payment and it "bounced" like a check does with insufficient funds...when the expiration on your card is past...the payments will not go through and you will have past due bills! PayPal and a couple other companies alerted me via email (with no links or phishing type information) that my card on file showed the expiration date was soon to "expire" and in order to keep auto-pay working I needed to securely log on my account and update the information. It wasn't a scam...it was all legit. Again, check to see if it is something as simple as an expiration date on your card. If so, you need to go update any accounts you pay online :)Bank/credit cards have an expiration date for a reason...check yours now! Cheers!
Received a call from this number 30 mins after paying for something via PayPal missed the call . Found this website got scared and rang PayPal customer service explained what happened gave receipt number and they confirmed it was a genuine call from their security/ fraud unit wanting to confirm transaction so all good
Guy from this number just called me claiming he's from Paypal, and asked me questions confirming what items I'm selling on eBay and where I'm getting the items from. Why paypal wants to know that info is beyond me. I didn't give him any personal info. I'm gonna file this under beware because it did sound shady and there was no explanation as to why I was being asked these unnecesarry questions.
A fraudlent PayPal charge popped up on my husband's credit card for a significant amount of money. He's never used PayPal. It had this phone number on the charge but listed it from San Jose CA.
I got four fraudulent charges of $50, $75, $75 and $78.40 from Paypal *aeriagames and Paypal THS Interna with the 4029357733 number. However, they used another credit card number that I have and not the one that I have on my paypal account. Sounds confusing
Hi,I became worried when i read ALL the posts. When checking my bank statements this number 4029357733 is referenced against all Paypal entries.I always pay with credit car on these transactions even though it goes through Paypal.I suspect the number is generic to mastercard credit payments.I have received receipts for all payments with this reference number and have no suspicions of fraud.First stop is to check all your email receipts from PayPal.best of luck
My Chase Visa Card was hacked via a Lincoln Square, Chicago purchase for $150. Beware of PayPal.
