They just called me, saying they are calling on behalf of Telus, and they were a company named John Keells. They knew I was with Telus for my cell phone and wanted to know if I would like their promo offers for home Optik TV (HD and 180ish channels) and Internet (15Mbps). They guessed correctly that I was currently with Shaw for TV/Internet... They offered $200 credit up front to use on future bills, $5 off my current Telus cell phone bill per month, a 30 days satisfaction guarantee/check, and would start at $58/month for the 1st year, then continue at $88/month afterwards. Anyone else getting the same?
Me again with a follow-up. I called Telus to see if they are working with the third party company John Keells. The agent was super helpful and put me on hold to contact a colleague in Residential and also in Support. She came back confirming that *YES, John Keells is a sister company, and the Telus sales team (mostly residential) works with/under John Keells, so if they have a good offer that you're interested in, it is in fact valid*Hope this helps...and there goes an hour of my day...haha.
4 minutes past 5 pm received a call from 403-310-2255 was dead on the other end. Thx God my phone supplied me with a block this caller. (good Luck Caller).
I've read a few posts and this is more like a shaw/Telus debate ...if you don't know the number don't answer it...simple. I like the fAct that in one post it's said shaw bashes Telus which in my experience is true....Telus does not say anything about shaw which in my opinion makes Telus an more preferable choice. Been with Telus (bctel) for over 25 years. Still happy with all services even customer service even if it's from India
Unavailable caller name, unfamiliar number at least 4 times in acouple days. Soooo of course Did not pu and they did not leave msge.
I called this number and it is a surrey. 1-877-567-0000, so now I will try the 1-800-567-0000. Telus was very helpful in explaining to me that these calls come from Overseas and they are Internet calls using local directory numbers to cause the person receiving the call to pick up the phone. There is nothing that can be done unless the calls come from within Canada.
I received the call from 403-310-2255 today. I was at the library at the time which is a good 30 minute walk away from my home. I have been looking for employment and if some unknown number calls me now my automatic reaction is to assume it’s a potential employer. On the other end I got only dead air when I answered. I thought something was wrong with my end of the phone or thought it was because I had low battery at the time. I rushed home, charged my phone and called the number several times but couldn’t get through. Looking up the number online to find out I rushed home panicked because I thought I had missed an important call only to find that in truth it was only a Telus marketing thing is extremely aggravating. This stupid tele marketing BS just made me run across downtown looking like a [***] for a freaking “are you happy with your service” check up!!
