Received 2 hang up calls on Sept.27/104:27pm and 11:22amHow can I make them stop calling?
Had this call today for the third time & called them back to get my number removed. After nearly 20 minutes of wading through options of press 1, 2, 3, or 4, I did get a person on the other end of the phone who was employed by Telus. I did request and was told that my number was removed from the call list. I do not have telus phone service & am not a current customer. With advertising like that I will not be a customer of theirs anytime soon either...
Same call - same telus call centre trying to sell me things I don't want... takes two days to be removed from the list, since we're on call #4 so far i'm wondering how many i'll get between now & then. Really Irritating.
The phone number 403-310-2255 is an Alberta number but its for telus..I get it too...they r probably trying to sell something or ask you something
The call was valid for me. It was Telus. The nature of the call to me was to confirm my installation for the new Optik service, which I had scheduled a few days prior. I had the option of confirming my installation, or changing it to new time.
Yes, i have started getting them too. Just called the 800 number and Also, talked to Cheryl. lol. its like she always works. Anywho, 2 business days and im out of the dialer. Good luck to everyone else with this problem.
I also received several calls from this number in one day. I answered the fourth call and heard nothing but dead air. I waited for approximately 3-5 seconds and an automated message started. The call was a reminder of my upcoming Telus service appointment (new hook-up) and the automated message asked that I confirm the date by using the touchpad. After confirming the date, I did not receive any further calls.
Hello;Actually yes, Telus has stooped so low as to contract out employees from other countries such as India and the Philippines. The wage they pay is a fraction of what would be paid to Canadian employees, in the beginning the change over was slow, now there are more international employees than Canadian at least from the department where I was working. I am an ex-Telus employee. I worked in the department that ensures our technicians make it to your home for your install or repair. I used to get calls constantly from representatives based out of the Philippines and India calling on behalf of their customers. I understand how frustrating it can be to try to have an issue resolved when the person you are speaking has limitations in not only our language but an understanding of our society. They are just doing their jobs, however, just like we do here in Canada. I am now also using Shaw for my home entertainment and am proud to report they do not contract outside of Canada. Just an FYI.
