Got a call from them saying that they were from Expedia and that I won some vacation package. I was on my lunch and had some time, and they ranted on about hotels they were promoting in the mayan riviera. I let them go on, while i was checking these posts!......next thing you know I heard that it was no longer winning a vacation package but getting a promotional discount if i registered through them and paid $990 for the "vacation deal". Total scam indeed, but it was fun listening until they wanted my money.

Definitely just got a call from this number saying it was Rogers and they had a gift for me since I was a preferred customer and to press 1 to accept. Being an idiot, I pressed 1 and then it hung up. Id like to know how they knew I was with Rogers... By the way in BC

Received a call from this number on my work landline phone, which is on Telus - I am in Alberta. Didn't answer it, as I was talking to a colleague in person and afterwards I looked at my voicemail and saw that whoever this was didn't leave me a message, I decided to google the number.Now that I've gone throught his thread I recall I received a call from this number on my home phone a few days ago, guess they're busy playing with the autodial program on their computers in Pakistan.

Got this call while sitting in a hairstylist's chair around 2pm. Naturally since I was busy I didn't answer. I never answer a number I don't recognize on my cell phone.

I received a call from them on my cell phone which is through Telus and my land line which is through Shaw. Both times I was told it was Expedia letting me know I won $2000 travel points. Scam big time. I'd just like to know who the hell gave them my numbers!

This number called - which I missed - I would have not picked up as I do not recognize.I called it back & there is no such number in serv

I got the same call today claiming that I won 2000 travel dollars from Expedia, I pressed 1 just so I could have some "words" with them, but they hung up as soon as I said hello. Idiots! The number was 780-746-9000. When you call the number back it says it's not in service.

Missed the call, caller didn't leave a message.

I am a Rogers cell customer in BC. I understand that Rogers may sell your info if you do not opt out. I did not know that until about a year ago when I changed my "preferences". I imagine my number got onto all kinds of lists before I did this.I don't think businesses should be allowed to do this by default. A customer should have to opt in to having their info shared.
