I found two missed calls from 4039398080 today no message left I live in Alberta so Glad I found all of these Posts so I know not to answer or call back!!!!
the calls are coming from a Vacation Ownership property in Mexico trying to get you to come down for a cheap vacation. It's a "free gift" but you have to pay.

Just got a call on my work number in Alberta- that I won a $2000 credit from Expedia, pressed 1 to tell them to remove me from their calling list and got hung up on.
I've gotten a call from this number seveal times, so I finally decided to google it and found this msg board. I'm in BC on Vancouver Island and I get a call from this number at least once a week. I never answer it, but my neighbour did and she said that the first person she spoke to said they were calling from FIDO. She works for FIDO herself and asked for the company's number name (eg. 123456789 Ltd.). The rep couldn't give that to her, so she was TRANSFERRED to his SUPERVISOR. The next guy gave some phony number and when she called him out on it, he said she was misinformed about the comany name and he wanted to make sure she got an excellent deal on her FIDO service. She said she worked for them and already had a great deal due to employee discounts, and that if he actually knew anything about FIDO, he would know that internal employees are not able to take advantage of any special pricing. She also stated that because she was an employee, she would have known about this special offer he was trying to give her. He hung up on her and she hasn't gotten a call since.

Called and asked me to return call about a musical instrument that must be returned immediately. Got my name wrong as well. Scammers.

Got my name wrong, no where near close to the person they're trying to scam/contact. Call came from North Texas, left no company name, nothing. Shady asf, 888 area code is commonly used by scammers so this may not be legit.

Sent an email trying to encourage people to call Bank of America at this number. As phishing attempt go, this one was better than most. I can smell these things a mile away.
