I get calls from these idiots all the time. My credit is outstanding and I don't have any bad debt. But I really don't care, they can call forever. My phone is set up so that if you are not in my address book, my phone doesn't ring. They don't leave messages, they are wasting thier time!

Someone used my number for cc and didn't pay it now these jerks keep calling me for years non stop! I've told them too many times wrong number. I can't change my number cuz my special needs grandchild knows the number by heart. Its the only number in family that she can remember because its very easy. How u get them to STOP??

I just spoke with Portfolio Recovery. They hung up on me twice after asking them to send via mail any and all information to my address. I also mentioned all the prefix numbers they seem to use at all hours of the day and night. I asked for them to discontinue calling my number - where as they said they would put on a 7-day hold. I then informed them that there will be no 7-day hold and that the calls need to stop forever or there will be some issues for them. Only time will tell as to what will happen next. Hope this helps in some way. These people are total scum of the earth and from what I have so far read, most have no outstanding debt. It is a real case of harrassment and they should no doubt be reported.

so im getting THREE (3) scam numbers calling me all at once!!! sunrocket DID...443-313-1382.....portfolio...404-921-2521...and one who says "legal department"...347-637-6473 which now registers either "2007" or 000 on caller ID

Just let your answering machine get it. Thats what it is there for. They talk to nobody you talk to nobody. If everbody did this they would be gone for (Good) A debt collector night mare is a answering machine nobody to talk to no money comming in there (BROKE) !!!!!!! .

They call me and claim I own some credit card debts and even gave the last 4 digits of my social security number. That is wrong. They say sorry, but in a few days call me back with another name.

They just called me. Portfolio is a sad, sad company. I don't know how they make any money, because I don't know who would be dumb enough to give these buffoons their hard earned cash. Portfolio Recovery Associates, but this is the gist of the lawsuit: All persons within the State of Georgia who, on or after October 28, 2010 until the final disposition of this case (the "Class Period"), received a non-emergency telephone call from PRA LLC to a cellular telephone through the use of an automatic telephone dialing system or an artificial or prerecorded voice and who did not provide prior express consent for such calls during the transaction that resulted in the debt owed.Just contact the law office via email, they'll send a questionnaire to see if you qualify to be added, and you're instantly added to the list of names if you qualify. It's still early stages, but I wanted to do SOMETHING. I've been harassed by these a-holes for years, for no reason.

I have a payment arrangement with one company. These [***] had the audacity to call and tell me that the company sold my debt to them and that I now have to pay them. Well, if that is the case I asked, "why did I never get written notification of that and why am I continuing to make payments to this other company that they are accepting?" They said that I am wasting money paying them. I told them to stuff it and they stopped calling for a long while; yet have started again. What [***]!!!

Even when you have a lawyer and they tell these people to lay off they do not .They call at all hours of teh day and night and are rude to the extreme . I am also getting calls from them for someone I don't even know and they insist I give them a number and then when I said I don't know the person the man called me a damn liar . I told him not to call here again .
