I keep getting calls from this number about a medical bill for 9 YEARS AGO! Really? They call back to back....
Are thesr Buttholio guys serious? They really think I would answer my phone for an unknown number? They really think I would reactivate an old debt they couldn't touch with a scud missle? Really? Get tha fahk jutta here. Lol
Gad the a-holes have another new number. I stopped answering a year ago and they keep calling. They are owned by Capitol One Bank or were bought by them. If I had one of there credit cards I would send it back to them. If you run a credit check on yourself you will not find portfolio recovery or capital one bank on it. I never had an account with either of them. Total Rip Off....................
Without reading the firm's site I can guess their plan is to pull a summer repeat of Watson v. NCO, which punished the collector under TCPA. This class action seems carefully worded and stays on the safest ground by excluding landlines, but let's be very clear that TCPA is not meant to cover debt collectors and any claims made under that umbrella are not "slam dunks". Class actions against collectors are nearly always showboat trials which rake thousands for the law firm, and perhaps bragging rights, and dispense maybe a few coins apiece to the class members. Consumers are often better off filing their own to see the benefit of statutory fines and actual damages, most often under FDCPA. One should be careful when considering joining a class that its language does not strip any private right of action which might normally be granted and which the consumer might find useful.
These people call all the time. They claim I owe money from 8 years ago. This is not true.Is there a way to "block" this number from coming to my home? Any suggestions will be appreciated.
