They called, I heard the automated message and hung up. Any business who thinks they will get clients to listen to an automated recording, whether legit or not, is absolutely clueless.
I keep getting calls on my CELL phone from 405-416-1899 when I answer it's dead silence. So I try to c/b from either my cell or a landline it takes forever to connect and once it does it's busy. WTH!
This is a call from :Your Local Merchant which also does business as Relevant Ads Inc. They automate the initial call which is not legal in most states. They do not honour the national do not call registry as my # has been on (and verified) since Dec 9, 2009 (it's May 5, 2010). You have to press (a random #) to speak with a rep before the company is identified. After 3 minutes on hold, you are solicited to 'update' your google web listing. This is not a Search Engine Optimization company. This is the same company that sends out spam, snail mail (and now telemarket calls) to scam unsuspecting and uninformed people into paying money for nothing.I was glad to report them on the Do Not Call website and I encourage you to do the same if your number is on the registry and you have been called by these folks. They appear to be shady business people and should be stopped.
Jeremy called.Phone rang at 7:15pm EST on 10-29-10.Jeremy is a young sounding white male. He said he was a new hire this week.He said they have a team of 15 programmers.He said it costs $199/month to put your listing on Google Local *its free to do this*.He said the name of the business is Your Local Merchant.He said their website address is: www.29prime.comI asked to be removed from their call list.He said they submit removal requests at the end of the day.I told him he should look up what people are saying about them.He got really nervous and said, "um ok, um, happy halloween" click.
Got 2 calls from (405) 416-1899. They do not leave messages. And when I called back the recording says the number is disconnected, yet I got another call from the same number. Now I am blocking the number. Screw the [***] for wasting my time.

Got my name wrong, no where near close to the person they're trying to scam/contact. Call came from North Texas, left no company name, nothing. Shady asf, 888 area code is commonly used by scammers so this may not be legit.

Sent an email trying to encourage people to call Bank of America at this number. As phishing attempt go, this one was better than most. I can smell these things a mile away.
