I recieved this call yesterday 12/5 just saying my phone number was a contact number didn't leave a name or what company he was with just told me that it was urgent that I call them back. Then gave me an 888 number to call back. The ID on the phone said

Glad I googled this number 405-555-0199.. and found all these posts from other victims getting the same call. I wasn't able to find anything on whitepages.com and I am not going to waste my time calling the number to return the guy's urgent request to call back.

Glad I read this; I, also, don't answer numbers I don't know. It was a "Mr. King" on my message; lots of background noise. Will not call back. Thanks for the info!

Just got a call from this number, had my mom answer since I didnt recognize it she could not understand what they were saying and i have not been able to call it back

Just received a call and voicemail from this number. she said she was Ms. Kennedy and that it was urgent that I call her back today. Left no company name what so ever. Just that I have to call back today. She left this number as a call back:888-420-7233Fraking Scammers!

I had the same thing happen. I work nights and the phone work me up. The message claimed that there "had been an urgent emergency" and I needed to contact this 888 number immediately. I jump up and call the number only to get a woamn on the phone asking about an account I have never heard of.

These scum are usung a fake caller ID. They are most likely MCM aka ARM aka ACS which are. Midland Credit Management, Accounts Receiveable Management and Academy Collection Service. Anyone get calls from 866-998-8526 also? That's them. They have many numbers. Academy has been sued many times for their bogus business practices. Disgusting, aren't they?
